Community Spotlight: An Interview with Queenfernie Fer
A passionate Seeker and creative soul from Argentina
We’re delighted to share an inspiring story from one of our beloved players, Queenfernie Fer (Fernanda). A dedicated member of the Seekers Notes community, Fernanda brings her warmth, creativity, and contagious enthusiasm into every interaction. From her longtime love of painting to the deep friendships she’s built in Darkwood, Fernanda’s journey is a testament to the power of shared passion and kindness.
Join us as we take a closer look at her adventures in the game, tips for players, memorable moments, and hopes for Seekers Notes’ future!
A little about yourself: How did you become part of the Seekers Notes community?
Good afternoon! My name is Fernanda. I live in Argentina and am about to retire after working for 42 years. I have a son and a daughter, and I’m a grandmother to Líon, who is six years old.
I paint using mixed techniques, but mostly oil painting. I love the plants in my garden, my swimming pool, and I found this game that I loved — that’s how I became part of the Seekers Notes community.
How did you first discover Seekers Notes, and what drew you into the game?
I was looking for a hidden object game and found another one that I didn’t like at all. Then I discovered this game, which completely hooked me and turned me into an addict! I couldn’t stop playing. The images, the details, the colors — all the locations are beautiful to me. My congratulations to the developers!
What are some of your favorite events or updates? What keeps you engaged in the game?
I look forward to the updates with great excitement. My favorite events are: Ice Cream for Yeti, The Fortune Teller, Rabbit Café, The Defenders of the Light, Starcatcher, and Emerald Mystery.
I used to play The Air Races and Underwater Sprint. I always started in last place, but after a while I’d be in first, then finish in third or fourth — so I stopped playing them. I love all the side games!
About two years ago, I created my main account (on which I buy passes, rubies, the Yeti chest, and sometimes the Emerald Mystery chest). This year, I created this second account a few months ago because I couldn’t remember how the story in Darkwood began.
But with this account, I can’t do much — it’s connected to Facebook, but I’m not sure if to a page or a personal account, and I can’t make any purchases. Still, I use it to connect with people and to help others with my experience — although I learn something new every day!
As a seasoned player, do you have strategies or tips to share with newcomers?
I only have one strategy tip: I suggest that in the more difficult locations, take a screenshot and search for the objects calmly. I must confess that this is how I learn to play a new location in Gargoyle mode.
This game is meant to be fun and enjoyable.
I get tired of reading such negative posts, with people constantly complaining.
How has Seekers Notes influenced you personally? Have you formed friendships or grown in other ways?
I’ve made many friends — really good ones. So much so that we write to each other on Facebook Messenger. We ask how we are, how our day is going, and I take the opportunity to ask them for advice when I need help.
My Guild group is very friendly, and our leader is a lovely and understanding person.
What is your most memorable moment or achievement in Seekers Notes?
There are many memorable moments and badges I’ve earned playing this game. From playing nearly all the side games, to the time I was told I had won 50 rubies and two other gifts for completing a survey — I couldn’t believe it!
The moments I spend playing this game are precious to me, because I stop thinking about everything else — I just focus on the locations I love.
In the morning, I get up, make my breakfast, open the game, and sometimes when I check the clock, six or eight hours have gone by — playing, chatting, sharing information, achievements, and tips.
I don’t usually save pictures, but I’ll send you the most recent ones.
How has the Seekers Notes community impacted your experience?
The connection with the community is fundamental — there are always people who share or explain how to solve a location, what talismans to use, and other information I didn’t know.
And we grow closer and become more like friends.
At home, you might hear me laughing out loud all by myself — chatting with another player who’s very funny — we keep writing and laughing together.
With the 10th anniversary approaching, what are your hopes for the game’s future?
I like the game just the way it is. I don’t have any expectations, and I’m actually afraid of leveling up too much because I don’t want to run out of locations.
But I would love for the number of gifts we can send to be increased — like being able to gift rubies, special talismans, and chests.
I think about my friend, whom I recommended this game to — she also became addicted! But we’re at such a low level that we have nothing — we need everything.
I still don’t understand why we need to reach certain levels to access free gifts.
I think when I started playing about two years ago (I believe my other account is about to have its anniversary), it wasn’t like this — but I can’t quite remember.
Any final thoughts or messages for fellow Seekers?
I suffer from Bipolar Disorder, and I’d say this game has saved me during some very difficult and dark days.
Here, I feel safe — with my people, my friends — sharing my knowledge and being able to help others, just as others have helped me.
I feel free to express myself here, something that is very difficult for me in real life.
So, thank you so much, Seekers Notes, for everything.
I wish you a very Happy 10th Birthday — and many more to come!
