Darkwood's history remains veiled in intriguing mysteries that continue to enthrall us to this day. Over the past few months, my fascination with unearthing the secrets of our city's past and present has grown immensely. Engaging in extensive research, I scoured old manuscripts and sought out every fragment of information available. Today, I present to you the first part of my findings - the legends of Darkwood's founders. Despite being familiar with their names, their personas are still shrouded in an enigmatic blend of mystery and magic. Join me on this quest to discover the extraordinary legacy of four individuals who played a pivotal role in the inception of our beloved city.
Lissa - The Biologist:
Lissa's vision was to achieve harmony between humanity and nature, seeking to infuse humans with the finest qualities of animals to reach the pinnacle of existence. Her experiments may have given rise to the chimeras we now encounter in Darkwood. Are these creatures a manifestation of her aspirations, or do they represent remnants of her enigmatic experiments? Although the answer eludes us, Lissa's profound impact on Darkwood's history is undeniable.
Nostromo - The Prophet:
A prolific seer and philosopher, Nostromo left behind a legacy of prophecies, magical artifacts, and philosophical treatises. His connection to establishing the Byron family is one of the reasons why he's the most famous and known founder. The Byron family has worked hard to preserve his legacy through the generations.
Demian - The Ambitious Alchemist:
Demian's desire to create powerful artifacts led him to work with other founders. He's rumored to be a highly intelligent and resourceful alchemist who was unafraid to delve into the arcane. A lot of rumors surround his figure, painting his person in more gray colors, neither good nor evil. One of the most prominent rumors, however, is that he and Lissa were romantically involved at some point.
Florence - The Enigmatic Botanist:
Very little is known about Florence, making him the greatest enigma among the founders. Regarded as a "dark horse," Florence is known for his expertise in plant magic. Other unverified rumors suggest Florence's lifelong quest was to unlock the secret of resurrection to bring back a lost loved one.
The founders themselves established the position of the Seeker, the one rumored to have the ability to fully comprehend and unveil the enigmas surrounding their lives.
While the legends of the founders are widely known, few concrete details have emerged, leaving much to the realm of speculation and hearsay. However, with a new Seeker at our side, I am hopeful that we will rediscover the true essence of these enigmatic figures. As the Seeker embarks on this enthralling adventure, I will be here to share the latest discoveries with you.
